How to play Colordle

Colordle is a color guessing game played with names. Look at the target swatch, search a color name, and read the match percentage. Each guess brings a side-by-side reference into your history, helping you learn how familiar names relate to RGB colors.

  1. Look at the target swatch. The large swatch is the color you need to name.
  2. Use the match percentage. This game calculates straight-line distance between red, green and blue channels.
  3. Find the exact color. Your history shows each color name, its swatch, hexadecimal value and percentage.
  4. Choose a mode. Easy uses familiar basic names.

Is this Colordle a hex-code Wordle?

No. You choose color names and receive a percentage based on RGB distance. You do not enter a six-character hex code or mix paint colors.

Can I play Colordle unlimited?

Yes. Select Next color after a win or reveal to start another independent practice color.

How many colors are included?

There are 184 unique RGB colors in this practice version, each with one accepted name and no alternate-name aliases. All targets can be selected through search.

Can I play without relying only on color?

Each guess includes a written name, hexadecimal value and numerical score. The visual target remains central to this color-identification game.
